Is this real link building, or just a report?

Real. BackForge sends actual personalized emails to webmasters requesting link placements. It's not a keyword report or a "backlink audit" — it's outbound outreach that gets replies and placed links. You can see every sent email, every open, every reply, and every confirmed live placement inside the dashboard.
How does the automated part work?

Every day, BackForge runs a discovery cycle: it scans our 317-entry verified directory database, matches opportunities to your site's niche and domain authority, generates personalized pitches using AI, and sends them from your email address. Replies and live placements are tracked automatically. You can also trigger the cycle manually from the dashboard.
What's the difference between daily and monthly send limits?

There are two separate limits. Daily cap: 20 sends/day regardless of plan — this protects your sender reputation (sending hundreds of cold emails in one day gets you flagged as spam). Monthly quota: plan-dependent (3 free / 30 Starter / 200 Pro) — this is the total number of fresh outreach pitches BackForge will send per billing cycle.
Do I need to set up my own email?

Yes — pitches are sent from your own email address via Postmark, so webmasters see a real person's name in their inbox, not a generic service address. You add your email under Sender Settings in the dashboard and click a verification link. Setup takes under 2 minutes.
Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel through your billing portal and you'll keep access until the end of your billing period. No cancellation fees, no lock-ins.
What counts as a "send"?

Each unique outreach email sent to a webmaster counts as one send. Generating and saving a draft does not count — only clicking "Send" (manually or via the daily auto-cycle). Follow-up emails to the same contact, if added, will count separately.
